SETUP OF A NEW COMPANY
Open a Peachtree
Software to establish a new Company Record.
Following Window Will
Appear:
After that we select
a the option “Setup a New Company”
Then next window will
be open which name is Accounting New Company Setup:
Following
introductory screen will appear to guide you the rest of process
By clicking the next
we have to type the company information such as Name,Adress,Telephone Num,
Business Type.
After that we chose a
company name,City,Zip Code,Country and Business Type and we Fill this option.
Then click on Next
Button
By clicking the we chose
Build Your own company
Again clicking the
next we can chose several methods to setup the charts of accounts.charts
accounts already developed by the software of so many companies or we can copy
the charts of accounts from existing peachtree company or another accounting
software compatible with this software.we will build our chart of accounts
By clicking next we
select a accounting method
There is two types
ofaccounting method 1st is Accrual Method and 2nd is Cash
Method
Accural Method
isusually followed where we accure espense and income weather paid orreceived
or not.
Note:
Once we choose an
accounting method,it cannot be changes
Next phase will be to
choose the “Posting Method”
By selecting the real time posting method transactions are posted to
the General Ledger as they are entered and saved.ths allows to prints and
reconcile the transaction and then save it
Then in this step we select the Accounting period, Normal accounting periods
is 12 months accounting period.
In next step we choose the month when accounting period will start and
month when first Transaction will recorded.
By Clicking Next
Button “Congratulation” screen and by clicking Finish the company set up completes.
